A Spanish preclinical study has confirmed the safety and effectiveness of a collagen-cyanoacrylate patch in a porcine model of colorectal anastomosis dehiscence. The patch was able to reinforce the anastomotic site, reducing the risk of leakage—one of the most feared complications in colorectal surgery.
